I LOVE Bridal sessions! Fortunately, here in the South, Bridal sessions are pretty much expected. Now, head on over West and you’ll find that it is not as common(although I am sure that there are photographers out there who are dying to do more of them!). I get asked questions pretty often about Bridal sessions, so I though I would share some info with you today…and give you the option of having a Free Bridal Session if you keep reading. : )
FAQs
Q: WHY take Bridal photos before the wedding?
A: Time on the wedding day is pretty limited most of the time. A Bridal Session allows more time and detail to make sure that you have awesome photos of you in your wedding gown. Most Brides like to display some of their Bridal photos at the wedding reception as well. This is also the perfect opportunity for the Bride to haveĀ good practice run for everything including dress, shoes, jewelry, hair, make-up and bouquet all at once!
Q: Will my dress get dirty?
A: We take every precaution to ensure that your dress is not damaged! This includes bringing along something to place under you if you sit on the grass or a dusty bench, arranging the dress so that only the under-side touches the ground, carrying your dress train, etc.. We still recommend having your dress cleaned, steamed, etc. before your wedding!
Q: How long will it take?
A: A typical Bridal Session lasts an average of 2 hours. Sometimes less. Sometimes more. : )
Q: Where do we go for a Bridal Session?
A: The possibilities are endless! If you have a location in mind, great! If not, I will be happy to help you find the perfect location that suits you!
Q: Should I bring someone along?
A: Sure! We love it when mom, sister or BFF comes along! They know you better than anyone and are a great help with straightening the dress, hair and just plain helping you to relax.
Q: When should we schedule a Bridal Session?
A: It varies, but I typically recommend taking Bridal photos around 8 weeks before the wedding. This allows time for you to have all dress fittings and alterations done, while still allowing enough time to view, order and receive your photos before the wedding.
I hope that I didn’t miss anything! If I did, feel free to comment on this post with your question and I will be happy to answer. Bridal sessions are SO FUN! I have several coming up soon and I am super excited!
So, you wanna have your cake and eat it too? In other words, you want a Bridal session and you want it for free??? Here is the deal: Contact me by this Monday, February 15th to meet and book your wedding! That’s it! We do not necessarily have to meet by Monday, but you must contact me by then to set up a meeting time. Then, just meet, book and get ready for an awesome time!
And since a blog post is kind of boring with a photo or two, here are a few Bridal faves from last year!
